Acting on behalf of IOS Alliance, water and wastewater process and engineering specialists FLI Water has delivered a programme of design, off-site build and installation of booster stations across Anglian Water Services’ network. So far six have been, or are in the process of, being installed, with an approximate value of £600,000.

FLI Water is searching for experienced mechanical engineers and designers to join its head office in Bedford, following the award of a number of major frameworks and projects.

With a core focus on Anglian and Thames Water frameworks, including key projects, such as Chelmsford WRC and Leighton Linslade WRC, the engineers will also be providing expertise to other key clients, including Irish Water.

As part of FLI Water’s ongoing business development, the company has been awarded a contract from Thames Water for the supply of filtration equipment and maintenance. The contract is potentially worth in the region of £2.5 million for the business over a five year period.

FLI Water awarded three new project wins in Ireland

FLI Water Limited has won a significant new contract to carry out upgrades on three Wastewater Treatment Works in County Wicklow, Ireland. Work began on site in March 2016 for the €500,000 project and is expected to last four months. FLI Water is carrying out the work for Irish Water, the national water utilities provider across Ireland.

FLI Water is pleased to have been engaged by Irish Water to upgrade two Wastewater Treatment Plants (WwTP) in County Kilkenny, Ireland. The contracts, which mark another stage in the working relationship between the two companies, incorporate upgrade works at Callan Wastewater Treatment Plant and Piltown Wastewater Treatment Plant, including major filter refurbishment at Piltown. The work, which has a value of €600,000, ensures treatment quality and enhances efficiency and capacity.

FLI Water has appointed a new Finance Manager, Denise Piper, to the business. Denise has an extensive background working with SME businesses and as Finance Manager she understands the challenges facing a developing business. She will take on the responsibility for FLI Water’s accounting. Her new role will incorporate developing the management accounts, interrogating the financial data to support management decisions, providing advice to the management team on operational finances and planning, as well as internal and external financial reporting.

FLI Water have successfully handed over control, to Anglian Water operations staff, of a new Brightwater™ M10 Suspended Solids Removal plant at Ketton Water Recycling Centre. FLI Water was Principal Contractor, under an EPC contract, to deliver a Water Quality process treatment plant to the new EA discharge consent.

 The overall project timescale was a challenge from the outset, however the Delivery team pulled together to complete the scheme ahead of the Gateway handover date with Zero accidents, Zero defects and on budget.

Executive Chairman visits Water Recycling Centre

FLI Water are Principal Contactors at Ketton Water Recycling Works where they are responsible for the detail design and construction of their Brightwater™ Solids Filtration plant. 

FLI Group Executive Chairman and Founder, Michael Flynn, visited the site with newly appointed Managing Director, Ian Jones, to gain first-hand experience of the activities on site and the challenges faced by the site construction teams.

On 1st July 2014, Michael FLynn - Founder and Group Executive Chairman launched the new FLI Group corporate branding to coincide with our 25th anniversary.
